Journal Response #1 and National Writing Day

This is my notecard about why I write.

This was for Comp 1 class: Prompt: Do You like to Write?

Do I like to write? I like to write. First, I like to write not necessarily because it allows me to explain my ideas but rather it allows me to relate to others and help them in tough situations. Secondly, I can write about stuff I have experienced, and I can write about stuff I have not. I believe that this allows me to make a difference.

Is it a gift or a burden?

I believe writings a gift. Colossians 3: 16 American King James Version: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Why is writing important?

I realize writing is important. It is how I will learn to fill out a resume and college forms when I have to. It permits me to be experienced.

This was for National Writing Day Thursday October 20, 2011 for Comp 1 also:

Why do you write?

I write to be a philosopher, to be a help, and to have an escape from people.
